  1. I put this online when I was the archivist of the National Museum of Health and Medicine. The proposal is for a combined Army Medical Museum and Library, replacing the Adolph Cluss-designed red brick building that was eventually knocked down for the Hirschhorn. The library half became the National Library of Medicine in Bethesda in the early 1960s. The Medical Museum moved to Silver Spring, MD two years ago.
