Exploring the Whittemore House and the Women’s National Democratic Club in 1900

This beautiful old home is the Whittemore House (check out their website) on New Hampshire Ave. NW, just off of Dupont Circle. It still stands today as the Women’s National Democratic Club (check out their website). What a great photo, taken by Frances Benjamin Johnston in 1900.

  1. What is the white house beside it? Do you know? I think the Dupont Circle Hotel now stands in its location.

I love this website. Great job!
