Avid GoDC commenter Mike, sent along this great shot of the old Aqueduct Bridge. It’s a really cool photograph from 1898, and in the foreground, you can see the Connecticut Pie Company wagon.

  1. I’m confused – is this looking from VA or from Georgetown? I see a building that looks like the Car Barn at a funny angle on the other side…

  2. It’s definitely looking from Georgetown toward Arlington. I had that exact same reaction, but knew it wouldn’t make much sense to spin a building around… then I spotted the parapets just along the left edge of the *actual* car barn. Whatever building that was in Arlington appears to be long-gone.
