This is an amusing pamphlet put together by the D.C. Library, yes serious, the D.C. Library in 1973. It shows a few caricatures of the players and then a series of images and short quiz to see if you know who the players are. It’s dated August 1st, 1973.
For a bit of reference, the Watergate break-ins happened about a year prior on June 17th, 1972. The trials for the burglars happened in January 1973 and the Senate hearings happened in May 1973. The impeachment process against President Nixon commenced in February 1974 and on July 24th, 1974, the Supreme Court ruled that the President was obligated to hand over the Oval Office tapes, which ultimately led to his downfall.
On August 9th, 1974, just over a year from the release of this pamphlet, the United States had its first-ever presidential resignation.
