Way back 100ish years ago, women would wait for their train in a separate waiting room at Union Station. Below is a photo of that ladies’ waiting room … which looks extremely sparse. This photo is from the 1910s.

Here is a photo I took today in Thunder Grill on the second floor. You can’t stand in the same spot as in the old photo and see anything, because all the structure holding up the second floor is in the way. But you can see the same lunette clerestory windows, behind the dining table in the new photo.
