Here’s an interesting video I came across on YouTube. I’m not quite sure what year this is from, but I’m guessing it’s somewhere in the mid-1950s. It’s fascinating to watch the former Senator and President messing up on camera.

These are probably outtakes from a 1958 campaign film that is available in full at the JFK Library website (this includes an interesting visit to his Senate Office building office): http://www.jfklibrary.org/Asset-Viewer/Archives/JFKPPP-64.aspx
I remember back when he was President, that he was going to be driving down Suitland Parkway when he left Andrews Air Force Base one day, of course, back then you knew where he would be most of the time. So everyone went there and stood on the hills that were there looking down on the Parkway, waiting for him to drive by, and everyone waved at the President in his “special Limo” and got so excited. Everyone loved that man. Back then, Democrat or Republican, everyone was crazy about him. My husband moved them into the White House, and even moved his mother-in-law into her home too. He may have been a rascal, but he sure did know how the “Hill” worked. I was about 15 yrs. old back then, but remember him like it was yesterday.
