Here’s a beautiful old photograph of the National Bank of Washington back in 1892.

Both of the buildings in the above photo are still there today as shown in the Google Street View below at 7th and Pennsylvania Ave.

Also in the old photo you can see the God awful Temperance Fountain in its original location on the right, right on Penn Ave across the street from all the cat houses. It was moved farther to the left where it resides today.
