Right between the card that says “Smithsonian Institution” and the footage of Lindbergh’s “Spirit of St. Louis” on display, the original editor apparently screwed up because the building shown looks like the Maryland State Capital when it should be the Smithsonian Castle.
Actually the shot should have been the Arts and Industries Building, not the Castle. That’s where the Spirit of St. Louis was on display for many years.
The view of the Smithsonian is wrong, the film actually shows the old Johns Hopkins Hospital building in Baltimore!
I think your right, it’s Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Has everything the others don’t like all those chimney’s.
I thought it looked funny…and not the castle. Yeh its the dome of JHH. How dare the mix up “Baltimore” with DC!!!
It was a more peaceful world back then with less freedom.
