Back in the day, way back, there used to be fine row houses on K St. Now it’s overwhelmed by office buildings full of lawyers and lobbyists.

Methinks the caption should read “…17th and CONNECTICUT”, since Constitution is several blocks to the south and parallels K St.
In 1938, my mother lived @ 1733 K. St. NW. Was curious if that was a residence, or perhaps the YWCA? She was from a small town in South Dakota, and became a famous singer in DC during the 1940s.
