GoDCers, check this out. It’s a photo taken in August of 1942 showing two buildings on 11th St. The photo was taken from Ella Watson’s home across the street. She was a government charwoman (a woman employed to clean offices).

The store on the right is at 1428 11th St. NW, and it’s still there today. You might be familiar with it if you visit Veranda for dinner or a drink.
