What an odd announcement in the newspaper. You gotta love these.

This was printed on December 14th, 1860 in The National Republican.

Oh, by the way, for some historical context, on December 20th, 1860, South Carolina seceded from the Union … and for Anglophiles, George Hamilton-Gordon, the former Prime Minister died at the age of 76.
