    Great photo.

    If you knew nothing about Washington, I’m guessing you would look at this map and think Alexandria’s population is near that of Washington. But in 1860, Alexandria had 12 thousand some, while the District had 51 thousand.

    I also noticed the number 13 is not in the key.
